On behalf of the entire Ellman International team, we thank you for your strong support and cooperation in growing the ellman business in your markets. We greatly appreciate your accomplishments and look forward to our future success together.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that Ellman will be implementing a modest, global price increase related to our accessories (e.g., electrodes) product line effective May 1, 2012. We will not be increasing the prices for our generators or generator packages at this time.

We know that a price increase is seldom well received by any sales team or distribution network. Ellman International has not raised prices of our accessories since the fall of 2009 and that was the only time in the past four years. During this time, our cost to manufacture our world-class products has continued to rise every single year. The majority of this increase is due to the cost of raw materials needed to create our products, a cost for which we do not have direct control. We have also faced an increase in the cost of labor and have been absorbing these cost increases without passing them on to you for the last few years.

Each year since we acquired Ellman, we have reinvested heavily in our business to help you grow. Last year alone, we increased investment spending in Ellman by 37% over 2010. Certainly you have experienced the improvements in customer service and quality from our investments over several years. Last year, many of you also began to benefit from new products and initiatives including GlideSafe, DUAL EMC 90, the new AcuSect, impressive Pelleve marketing support materials, published clinical articles, podium presentations and the new Pelleve Treatment Guidelines – to name just a few things. The revenue from this modest increase will also be reinvested back into Ellman to support your future sales growth.

As a reminder, orders received and shipped in March represent an opportunity to purchase your accessory needs in advance of the price increase AND take advantage of the Q1 Performance Reward Program.
